Kendriya Vidyalaya ,Lansdowne is located in Lansdowne, Pauri Garhwal originally known as Kaludanda , one of the most serene hill stations of India. Kendriya Vidyalaya Lansdowne is surrounded by Pine,Oak ,Deodar and Rhododendron trees.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Lansdowne was established in the year 1964. Before that it was known as War Memorial Regiment School run by Ministry of Defence. Mr. C.S. Rawat was the first principal of the school & Col. Narender Singh was the first chairman of VMC. GRRC provided 15 acres of land for the school. The present building was inaugurated by Union Minister Sh. Bhakt Darshan who was the first chairman of KVS also.

Presently, the school has single section from class I to V, two sections each from class VI to X and three sections each in class XI and XII i.e. one section each for science, commerce & humanities stream.The subjects offered in senior secondary Classes are- English Core, Hindi Core, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer science, Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, Geography and History. KV Lansdowne accommodates well equipped 3 computer labs (2 in senior & 1 in junior wing), science labs, enriched library, vast playground ,open gym and hostel facility for boys. The school has 41 staff quarters.
